Creative Homecare was launched in October 2020 as a subsidiary social enterprise, providing clinically led private homecare. All of our proceeds go directly towards the running costs of Strathcarron Hospice.
What makes our homecare services different is that we put you first. We aim to provide you with the same standard of care that we would expect for our own families. This means valuing each person’s unique qualities and seeing them as an individual, and not as a list of care needs. We work alongside families and individuals to tailor our services to help our customers remain in their own homes and stay in control of their own care for as long as they are able.
Margaret Foy
Business Development Manager
Margaret joined Creative Homecare in 2022 to develop the business and create a unique home care service that will provide an income stream to Strathcarron Hospice.
Margaret worked in marketing and customer service for over 20 years across a variety of sectors and leads a strong team that is recognised as excellent by the Care Inspectorate.
Working with Julie Ann and David the Creative Homecare team supports families in Falkirk, Stirling and Callander. Margaret says ‘We all want the best care for our loved ones and customers regularly tell us the difference this service makes to their family. Each customer receives a bespoke, person centred care plan, regular communication and continuity of care to help them live well at home. I’m looking forward to developing the company so we can help more families and drive income for the Hospice.
David Hall
Patient and Family Support Manager, Strathcarron Hospice.
David has responsibility for supporting Julie with the overall management of Creative Homecare and has been involved in developing the ethos behind the service. He is an experienced Social Work professional and manager and has previous experience in support at home services. For the past 4 years David has managed the Patient and Family Support Team within Strathcarron Hospice.
Along with Julie, David is excited to be involved in the management of Creative Homecare and have the opportunity to deliver excellence to customers who use our services.
Julie Ann Craig
Senior Co-ordinator
Julie Ann Craig, Creative Homecare’s Senior Coordinator has worked in the care sector for 15 years. Julie Ann started off as a Carer and then worked her way to Senior Carer and as a Social Care Officer, all within Falkirk Council. Julie Ann has experienced a variety of different roles within the sector.
Julie Ann says, “Coming into this role at Creative Homecare, we wanted to put the care back into homecare. People are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s important for a carer to spend time with each customer. Yes, the necessary tasks are important, but it’s the social aspect that’s crucial for customers. We believe that everyone should receive a rounded package of care, tailored to their individual needs”.
Our Carers
As a professional care assistant you’ll support customers to live independently in their own home. We provide visits of a minimum of 1 hour, and often longer, to ensure you have the time to build meaningful relationships and do your job properly.
Care staff are employed by Creative Homecare but as a social enterprise, you’ll not only have a rewarding role, every penny made is reinvested into Strathcarron Hospice.
No specific qualifications or background in care is required, what’s more important is that you have a natural calling to care for people. You can make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people, giving them the support they need to live independently in their own homes and enjoy interests they can’t do alone.
The excellence of care valued at Strathcarron is mirrored in our Creative Homecare services. Our bespoke support to customers is tailored to their individual needs of care and our staff will be fully trained and be supported by our management team.
