Creative Homecare awarded grade 5 ‘Very Good’ rating by Care Inspectorate

Creative Homecare, a new local Care At Home provider has been awarded a grade 5, ‘Very Good’ rating by the Care Inspectorate in its first Inspection Report since opening in November 2020.

The social enterprise not only supports vulnerable people to live independently in their own homes across Stirling, Clackmannanshire, North Lanarkshire and Falkirk areas; every penny made from the service is reinvested into Strathcarron Hospice.

Creative Homecare was set up in response to the unprecedented surge in demand of individual needs within the care sector. The further strength of the innovative Care At Home business model is that it will help fund the £14,315 daily cost of specialist end of life care and services the local Hospice charity provides to individuals and their families across its communities.

Creative Homecare delivers bespoke support to customers who perhaps need help around the house and with personal care tasks they’re finding more difficult to do themselves. Their care is tailored to their individual needs and staff are all fully trained and supported by the management team.

The Homecare Support Worker plays a vital role in supporting customers live independent lives. Their needs are identified in a personal support plan through an ‘outcome focused approach’ based on the principles of independence, choice, rights, dignity and privacy.

There is a national shortage of people to work in the home care sector, however Creative Homecare’s recent Facebook recruitment campaign resulted in a significant rise in new Home Care Worker applicants. The aim of the ‘We do it Differently” recruitment campaign was to attract people who have left the care industry, as well as encourage individuals who are looking for a flexible and rewarding career by highlighting Creative Homecare’s quality of care messaging.

The Care Inspectorate also interviewed customers, examples below:

I personally have never come across such a supportive agency. They have provided the best of care and the carers are true professionals and the kindest bunch of people. The manager takes time to speak with me and the care provided is regularly reviewed and altered to meet changing needs. I do not know how I would have coped without the support from all staff and management. Above and beyond what I expected.”

I’m delighted with the service; it’s made a positive difference to my relative’s life. Communication with them is excellent. They take a holistic approach and they have time to spend with people. They keep a detailed diary of day-to-day events and are very good at involving me. I think their approach is excellent. I know my relative is safe and being treated with compassion.”
